Auction Bidder Registration & Info
The Old West Auction offers a variety of options for bidding, both live and absentee. Bidder registration is free and easy. See below for more information.
Our Auction includes items in various price ranges. Though we draw the top dealers and collectors from around the country and frequently realize record-breaking prices on items for sale, the nature of the auction business means there are always bargains to be had as well. Do not be intimidated by the auction process or by estimated prices – there is truly something for everyone at auction. We all-too-frequently hear, “If I had known I could afford that, I would have registered to bid.” Don’t miss out!
A Buyer’s Premium of 18% will be added to the hammer price of all sold items, with a discounted 15% Premium offered for cash, check and cash equivalent payments. Items purchased via online bidding are subject to an additional Internet fee of 3%.
Bidding Options:
- Bid live and in-person at the Auction at the Denver Merchandise Mart. Registration is on-site and is open during all Auction Preview hours and during all Old West Show hours (please see the Schedule). You will be required to show a photo ID and a valid major credit card for security purposes only.
- Bid live on the Internet at http://bidat.denveroldwest.com or www.icollector.com.
Please note that Internet bidders are charged an additional premium by the online auction provider. Please click here for more information. - Bid live on the telephone. Our Auction staff includes professionals whose job is to bid on your behalf during the Auction. You will be contacted by telephone a few lots before the one for which you wish to bid. Your phone bidder will then work with you over the phone during the live bidding process. Phone registration must be completed and approved in advance; please click here for telephone bidder form.
- Bid via absentee bidding. If you are unavailable to bid live, or prefer not to, you may submit absentee bids. You provide us with the maximum amount you would like to pay for the item and we will bid on your behalf up to that amount. Please note that absentee bidding is safe and confidential. Winning bidders will be responsible for the cost of shipping and insuring purchased items per the Auction Terms & Conditions. Shipping arrangements are handled on-site in Denver by a local, independent UPS vendor on behalf of the Old West Auction unless other arrangements are made in advance.
